November 10:13 Galápagos 1: Isabela

At the dock in Santa Cruz. From here we took a two hour boat ride (think hot, stuffy, crammed together) across a rough sea. Alex loved every moment of it, but I unfortunately fought claustrophobia and sea sickness the whole way. But, it was worth it! Island Isabela. Beautiful. Amazing. Quiet. As a beach should be.
Bill at the hotel pool. We are at a very nice hotel that has a pool, a roof top jacuzzi, and is right on the beach.

 The view from our hotel.
Yep. Paradise! The pace of life is so much slower here. The roads are dirt and everything is brought in by boat.  More expensive than mainland Ecuador. The ceviche (cold seafood soup that is so yummy) has been the adult favorite.

It is so relaxing to be on a vacation from the vacation!
View from Bill and Andy's snorkeling trip today. All of us went on a short snorkel trip on Tuesday. Alex even snorkeled! We saw turtles and lots of fish. Today (Wednesday) Andy and Bill swam with sharks. The kids and I had a fun day at the beach.

Blue footed boobies!
Crabs!

I will post this now and write another later. The wifi at our hotel is not working...
