November 14:15 Isla Isabela and Santa Cruz

Isla Isabela was beautiful, no doubt. 

Bill went on a snorkel tour with Andy and saw lots of cool stuff!

On our last full day we rented bikes and rode to several view points. Alex did great riding in the sand after he got use to the rear end spinning! 

This last pic is of the wall of tears. A penal colony existed on Isabela for about 30 years. The prisoners had to perform forced labor on the island, including this wall that has no real purpose. The signs in Spanish state that Ecuador will not  repeat that again. 

On to sunny...

We struggled a little bit with customer service and not having enough cash. (We were charged a $300 entry fee apon arrival and no atm exists on the island). No one accepts credit cards, so we had to count every penny to pay for our last dinner. Added some excitement on the way back to Santa Cruz, because we didn't have any cash left for anything! No worries, though! We made it! And we got to take the hammerhead shark boat on the two hour "ferry" ride back to Santa Cruz. Kids loved it!

On to Santa Cruz!
